Hi guys, I bought a Lappy for my sis (HP 6720s)

It's got Vista installed, and I have no problem with that whatsoever.
However, I know Vista only runs well on >= 2GB Ram, and my sis' got 1x 1GB stick in it so :

Where do I buy another 1GB, and do I have to contact HP (Lappy under warranty till Nov2010) if I wanna have it inserted?

Thanks

I upgraded my HP at Matrix - was a bit less than R1000, but I was upgrading from 2 x 512Mb to 2 x 1024 Mb (ie I had to buy 2 sticks).

Didn't tell HP, but when i had to take my lappy in for repairs I removed the new ram and replaced it with the old ram - didn't feel like arguing with them.

very easy. open and slot in ram, its that easky ram usually has its own opening with screws

Nope, it's dead easy.

Turn your computer off :), then flip it over. Somewhere in the centre you'll see a panel with a little ram icon on it. Unscrew it and the ram is right there waiting for you to pop it out.

Shouldn't take you more than 2-3min.

Cool, so I won't void any warranty by opening it up?
(I'll of course take out the extra RAM chip should thee Lappy ever have to go in for repairs.)

Any shops in the CT-area that stock compatible cheap-ish Notebook RAM?

Thanks for all the replies guys.. :p
