help me with HTC S710 and Ubuntu OS

I am upgrading to this brick S710 next week and i am an Ubuntu user for a while now; I use XP where there is no substitute in Ubuntu (mainly Stats packages like SAS). I want to know if anyone here has tried S710 with Ubuntu: synch, calendering, document handling etc.

It is a Windows Mobile 6 OS on and interfaces with Outlook. Any luck avoiding booting into XP for this? or anyone tried it on VirtualBox (host: Ubuntu, guest: XP)? That would be cool!

Libs, yes thanks for the link; I did visit ubuntuforums.org for this, and it seemed to be a real pain to get this HTC going on linux; thought I would check here if there a local solution.

I will keep hacking...

It sucks when the hardware vendors dont create the right drivers :(
