Can i get adsl yet?

I live in weltevreden park, i ordered adsl a while ago. So naturally telkom came a couple of months late. When they do arive at my house they come to install it and stuff the the oke says, o sorry you are to far from the exchange. Now my friend down the road just got adsl installed, so now im wondering if i can get or not, or am i just gonna get bull****ted again?[:(!]

The first visit by Telkom is a test..if your connection fails you
are unable to get ADSL.

You are suppose to be within 5 km of an exchange.

yeah they test your line to see if its ok, they did do that and my line was perfect.. only the 2nd time they came to install it.. omg idjits i swear [:p]

What are you planning to do with your ADSL connection ?

I am sure you have read some of the complaints about it here?
