Hi there all

My name is Jo and I'm a TV producer for Summit TV on DStv.
I'm doing a story on ADSL and I need a casestudy. Somebody thats had some bad ADSL experience that's prepared to go on camera and talk about it. I would prefer a company commenting on camera as opposed to an individual concerning business and user issues of ADSL.

If any of you are keen please phone me

Remember there is no such thing as bad publicity....
Thanks Jo

Sent e-mails to all the people but have had no response....
Is everyone too afraid??

As for you fly....[:D]
I'm flying down to George in September but can't do interviews then because the story would have already gone to edit. So - sorry.
Maybe we can finally meet??
Jo

Hi Jo,

If Cape Town's a better bet, you can contact MegaLAN Networking Solutions 086-000-1111.

We'll runt more about Telkom in general however, not specifically to ADSL, but I'm sure ADSL's runting will give you a fair amount of info for a few minutes on air.

Thanks Savage

Cape Town isn't actually an option seen as I need to shoot this story next week Wednesday and I'm going to George in September. So I need somebody based in JHB - but I'll speak to MegaLan and hear if they don't have somebody here in JHB who can comment.
Thanks for the lead.

Jo

try this one for size, i have not one but two ADSL Fastest accounts, complained about the speeds (240kbps) and needless to say that it fell on deaf ears, eventually I cornered a technician who was extremely helpfull and he got hold of the exchange, they changed the DSLAMS and bang I went up to 450kbps, still no where near the upto 4MB I was told about about when I applied. It turns out I am just a little too far from the exchange to get the speed but my money is a little too close too their pocket to credit me or do anything about changing my account. Just short of a year now - roll on Neotel.

Mkay, this thread was 5 years old before you posted - I think the show is long gone by now !!!

And the Dust Buster Award for 2008 goes to .... drum roll ... >>>bronsont<<<
His relentless efforts in resurrecting dead posts has finally paid off, an amazing 11 minutes, 18 hours, 10 days, 2 months, and 5 years has passed since the last post in this thread and he managed to bring it back to life.

Hell, he brought a post back from way back when, a full year before I registered on this site.

I bow before you oh, great, resurrect0r of dead posts.

Its amazing that 5 years on, we still having problems with Telkom ADSL. I would not have noticed that this thread was that old.
