Also Called worldonline and they confirmed the same thing..

So Really thanks telkom ..I offer my money for more bandwith and what you Do ???????Say No Thanks ....

Ummm, yes it is. Ive got 2 accounts and when the one gets capped I just switch to other and carry on. . . They are on different ISP's though.

That is BS,,,,

Tel*** dont know themselves,,
I have an account and my father has an account, i game online and get us capped often, so he got me my own account, same line,,, what u cant do is log in with both accounts at one time one that same pc,, but u can use both accounts at the same time at full speeds on 2 sepperate pcs,,,
both accounts are from telkom

yes well i tried to explain that to them but EISH..... They dont understand and say they cant do that EISH!!

now now [;)] The reason Telkom is so nasty is because of the protectionism mentality it inherited from the previous regime -

But ...

The reason we don't have more speed/bandwidth you can blame on the current SA [:D] (Slow SNO rollout etc.)

Good day,

I have 2 accounts from Telkom internet, but it took some serious fights to get it. not to mention the 12 phone calls!

Does anybody know of a local free caching proxy that we could possibly use? This would be a good way of bypassing the cap. [:)]

Tried to get more than one account of telkom again today...
They are still telling me it is not allowed...

Great Thanks telkom...I will keep my money to mySelf Now...

omf if i am not wrong i think there is a link on their site to get a second account,,

for once when we applied for the account,, wait for this,,, telkom called back on the same DAY to tell us to check our e-mail shortly for the second user name and password

Plus, that's what even they helpdesk has told me I should do.
And I received this email from them when I bitched about having 0 bandwidth after the cap. In classic fashion they didn't understand my issue but instead suggested I should get another account. Perhaps drop an email to these guys as well:

Thanks for your enquiry. Please note response from ADSL management:

......

If the 3 GB is not sufficient the customer can either investigate
alternative products to suit his requirements. In the mean while the
customer can purchase an additional username and password if the
customer subscribe to TelkomInternet. Alternatively leased line
options can be investigated as it seems that the customer needs
guaranteed throughput. Bear in mind ADSL is a best effort service and
the weakest point in the link will determine the throughput speed.
.....

Telkom is aware of the problem with regards to the usage tracker which
will soon be fixed.

Thanks for your response

Hiya Telkom,

OK you need a cap - understood, BUT , when the cap is reached
the available bandwidth should not be reduced to zero !!

[:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!]

Please reduce the available bandwidth to at least normal
modem speed - not zippo.

This idea of an effective cut-off of international browsing
is nothing more than a "Kontrol" - something I thought had
disappeared years ago.

I am considering going back to my dial-up modem because at least
I could browse all month. With call-more I could easily Dl more
than 3GB a month.
