View Full Version : Diesel - really not all that
I read this article a while back, but had to dig it up again to forward to my blog's other writer, and I thought you guys might find it interesting:

I found that article fascinating. Something I never considered was that in producing low sulphur diesel which then gets punted as 'green' they have to get the suplhur and carbon etc out during the manufacturing process. Bottom line is it ends up in the atmosphere anyways! Its a con.

Unless you mix the sulphur with ammonia.
That way you get ammonium sulphate wich is an excellent fertiliser.
Ammonia/urea injection like Mercedes' bluetec does make a big difference to diesel emissions, but it's not available in SA yet.
