Telkom says the 3G cap does not affect SA servers. Does anyone knows what games one can play one the SA severs then and how we get on those servers. Currently i cannot play anything, as my cap is reached.[?]

As DarkSkies has pointed out, you may go to the address above to games hosted by the biggest online gaming community in South Africa.

Games include the ever popular Counter-Strike, and Day of Defeat. Other popular title include Quake3, Natural Selection 2.0, Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honour, and a recent edition the FREE game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

On a side note, I'm one of the administrators there, so if you need any help, don't hesistate to give me a shout. I'll probably be scanning this forum board quite closely as well, so any questions can be posted here too.

I found a new Game Server in SA. It is a emulation of a Battle.Net server. That means that you can play StarCraft, Warcraft 2/3 and Diablo 2.

Goto http://www.gosu.web.za

You will find everything you need there.

Andre, I don't know D2 on Battle.Net that well, but is the characters not suppose to reside on the server? I found mine on my PC.

If you run the .reg file on the site (http://www.gosu.web.za/DownloadFile.asp?DownloadID=13) you can log into bnet and the default server is set to the SA one, so the chars are on the server.

It also works with open bnet. There you will see your single player chars listed.

Nobody on tonight so far unfortunately.

know if someone could just find a WOW server that would be nice quite quite nice

BTW lanfear may u find shade and water today.

New service by Telkom broadband speeds up to 5kbps for only R1k a month. heheh

IS Game servers?

A couple of days ago, we found an IS Battlefield 2 server on the server list but stupidly didn't add it to my favs list, I have not been able to find it since-and can't find anything about it on the web.. does anyone here know about this server?

doubt anyone uses it

just go saix website and buy bf 2 and special forces all the games u will ever need
once the addiction sets the only money you'll be spending is for hardware and nice sound

The 3 Gig cap is affected by local servers, dont let them kid you.

I need a server for emulated games , such as Project 64.
Anyone know of one ?

Unfortunatly the latest available version of project64 doesnt have internet play available in it, apparantly in the next version it will. You can try project64k, which is a modified version of project64 1.4 which adds Kaillera(the internet client and software) to the program. The problem is though, that this is an older version. :/

Ive tested this Kaillera as far as talking to another person in the server that i created, we didnt try any games though, so i dont know how stable it is.
