I'm using 4 PC's connected to the internet through the WRT54G3G router and need to track the bandwidth used per computer. I spoke to Vodacom data and Linksys support and was told that there is no way to do this. Does anyone know of software I can use?

I've implemented a similar system at home with myself and 4 house mates.

I use software called Mikrotik, its effectively a router OS running on a dedicated PC, you can set speed limits for each user, keep track of their usage, even log their usage daily! Its very powerfull, and only costs about R300 for a license.

Any more questions, PM me :)

That's a *savagely* good solution, but John is already using a LinkSys router.

I've been thinking of using SNMP on the Linksys but must still check if the MIB's support this.

I asked the Linksys support guy if the router uses SMTP and he said "Yes" and then said "But not 3G routers". I tried the PRTG Traffic Grapher software and it didn't find the router. NetMeter and Rokario show usage but I have a feeling that they are showing LAN plus Internet activity for the PC they're loaded on.

Yes. I use Netmeter, it doesn't monitor TCP/IP only, it monitors ALL traffic that passes through the LAN or WLAN adapter (whichever you have specified to monitor).
