Icasa a stumbling block to broadband

evening rpm

strikes me mr venter is not very clear on what he is talking about (as well as not being too consistent with the sub judice rule he was throwing out earlier) - what exactly is a broadband licence and what exactly is it that makes Altech so special that it should be given preference? by choosing to not participate in any process to date they have not given any indication of how they measure up against the plans of the rest

ICASA are a stumbling block to everything including themselves. Time to disband them and appoint some people who know exactly what it is they are supposed to be doing.

aid Venter: "The lawsuit is proceeding out of principal. The policy needs to be transparent, open and without flaws. We think the process by which they are issuing broadband licences is flawed. We don't believe Icasa followed the new Act."
principal?
This company, developed by the family of Mashaud Merali, is the largest data operator in central and east Africa. It already has 1 500km of fibre optic cable in the ground. It fits Altech like a glove.
What fits what??

/insert rant about crap journalism here.
