It seems most the info we need is all floating around somewhere, it's just well hidden.. hehehe!
There's a PDF from Telkom which outlines future developments of the Telkom network, one of particular interest being Pg 17, where they indicate deployment of SHDSL and VDSL (the VDSL running at up to 26Mbps), and Pg 26 where they show xDSL speed at 1.5Mbps in the pipeline. They're also eying out VoIP (perhaps testing it as they say the network started being modified for that last year already), so seems they have quite a bit up their sleeve... hopefully price cuts are one of the surprises! [:)]
