Here's an interesting article about the economic benefits of adsl in the Uk --- this is why we need adsl and not excuses from telkom.

Interesting article, thanks for the link.

<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote">However, there is an "if". And that "if" is that the UK will only reap these economic benefits "if" there is greater competition, greater wholesale competition within the UK's broadband market.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">

This is a very important point. Until we have competition which can stand up to the monopoly called Telkom, we won't have much luck because it is unfortunate that Telkom has proved that they do not have our country's best interest at heart. Sad but true.

Thank you for your comment VQuest. I think that we should focus on the fact that while Telkom's practices might benefit them in the short term, they are putting local enterepeneurs a a huge disadvantage (especially the SMB and individual contrator sector) and damaging the nations future development and growth prospects.

Yes, sad but true. On the other hand, they are also losing future customers along the way as they go on making more and more blunders they way they are.

There WILL be a SNO. It is just a matter of time.
