i sent this email to consumers , hope they like what i say
Hi
i had enough waiting , this is just not right!!! I want a internet package, i dont care if its a trial , wimax , cdma , fibre dsl , etc i just want something!!!!! i will pay you'll to give me it!!!! i had enough of telkom , they are the worst people on earth and your consultant lied to and said neotel is opening in durban 3-4 of june. So if i dont get something im telling everyone i know not to move even if telkom gives me a 1gig cap and 4mb line i really dont care. if neotel cant provide anything and makes consumers like idiots then i would prefer staying with telkom and i will tell everyone i know not to move. i own 4 website which get allot of viewers and i will tell them my experience and not to move. and dont reply with that stupid message "we are currently blah blah blah trying services in your are" what do you'll copy and paste that to everyone who you'll lie to or is angry??? well i aint happy i want a good product in durban ok!!!!! i had enough of waiting!!!!!!!!!!! and i think many other people also have had enough. when we 1st heard neotel was coming out we thought we going to get a good company for consumers now its like you'll are another telkom. You'll have more fibre already in the ground but cant even start the dsl/fibre dsl. i think that most people wont even change because of that itself , those high pings , low download speeds but atleast i dont mind taking it and waiting for dsl from you'll which by the way you'll are going maybe it would be released in the year 2010 wait i meant 20100. i always spoke good about you'll and you'll lied and lied so just open in durban. Please Reply ASAP
:mad:grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr neotel

The only diffs between u and I matrix, is I live in a part of the world where you expect to be the last in line, so I don't bother getting my hopes up... I feel for you, sometimes you get the feeling that these people don't know that the best of South Africa exists oustide of Joburg in the Transvaal.

What can I say, I am also inpatient and I stay in JHB, it's not right for a multi-billion company not to have my area covered bout 4 km from CBD, and no base station in the CBD. Come on Neotel, you disappoint me once again

Holy Dolores, it was like reading a sentence that never ends. Some punctuation and better register would go a long way in getting your message across to them. In it's current form, that letter will not result in a reply, let alone action.

matrixweb u r SERIOUSLY a drama queen, throwing your toys out the cot cuz neotel haven't provided you with a service yet. Wake up buddy, you're in South Africa, stop trying to sound like some entitled Sandton Koogal who believes the world should bow down to him because he's some (potential) paying customer.

Gasp, and I waited 29 days for my phone line! So far, even without service, they are better than a company that has a complete infrastructure.

no offence Matrix but I couldn't get past the first few lines of your post. I understand what you are saying though! We don't have an option but to wait.
If I stand in my garden I can see what I think to be a CDMA tower, and when I look at it I can feel it looking back and saying 'No coverage in your area yet I'm afraid'
*sigh*

If I was a company and received an email like that my first response would be to laugh the second would be to press the delete button...
In my experience you are more likely to get a response if you don't frantically type what is in your head but rather compose a sensible and constructive email. Yours comes across as a mad man who is one step away from running through the streets with his gun firing randomly at anyone who crosses his path!
I suppose your response is indicative of the modern fast food society we live in. We want everything and we want it yesterday already. I personally prefer my suppliers to fully test a system before throwing it to me to test. I get more frustrated with something that does not work properly rather than the waiting for it.

I dunno. Service levels in SA are declining. If anything service was better in the past, it's not 'fast food culture', it's nostalgia for the old days when people and businesses took pride in the way they functioned.
I learned one thing and that is that being polite usually does not help these
days. One should however not become personally abusive or rude, but
one has to be firm and use strong language (eg "Your service is terrible.").
Employees should not be in a position to delete emails. Unless its the owner of the business or someone high up who really doesn't care what the shareholders think, or owns the company himself, the receiver of an email
complaining about something should NEVER delete it without acting on it,
even if the email appears to come from a lunatic (not saying it did in this case either).

yay guns *bang*:D
I love the typical SA attitude. I want it and I want it now, no matter if it has been tested yet or not just let me have it. Personally if I received a letter like that I would tell you to go say what ever you want on your 4 websites because once you have it you will complain its not what you wanted.
Maybe it's just me being from Cape Town but have some patience.

It seems a little ironic that the people ranting are the ones that can't get service from Neotel. The posts from people who are using the service are generally more positive. I'd be more worried if it was the other way round, like we've seen with some other providers...
