These people do exist, I can not believe it, still in shock:confused:

Well if they are working in Somerset West, then I suppose they must still be working on a Cape Town launch. Come on Neotel dammit!

good luck with that... those fekers have dug up 80% of the roads here in JHB sandton area and I still haven't seen any promise of fibre access yet :( All I've received is a bad wheel alignment and huge ass holes that I sometimes cannot avoid :(

Its safer to drive on an ungraded dirt road than it is to drive through Sandton these days.
Hey everyone, personally I would rather have a few roads dug up and better internet than nothing and stuck with Telkom.
*PS will try to take picture tomorrow*

You guys should know that the municipalities are the ones not allowing Neotel to retar the roads.
It's the municipalities responsibility to retar the road after Neotel is finished.
Well drove past again today, they have made a lot of progress in the last 24 hours. I also drove past a Tata Bakkie that said "Neotel on the side"
Seems like they are defintley in Somerset West. Will do my best to keep you all informed.
Below are some photos. I apologise for the quality *had to use camera phone and had to scale them so I could up load them*
Not to mention I was driving in traffic when I took them. Hopefully more to come.

Yup. The JRA are supposed to retar the roads within 2 weeks of the lines being laid. However, this is a government company, so...

I must admit so far they have only dug in the side walks nothing in the roads. It will be interesting to see how much cable they lay down in Somerset West

i think that it could well most likely be a transmitter tower, if you spot the location on google maps, it seems to be at the centroid of the residential areas of the basin- the most logical place to build a transmitter tower.

I've seen Neotel dig up pavements in Parow Industria, and Ravensmead. Others have told me that they are digging up in Bellville and in the CBD as well.
Isn't there a bank next to that caltex garage?
No there is not, the banks are quite a distance away from there. Surrounding the Caltex garage, is a car dealership. Few electronic stores etc.

Think about it like this, if they are doing work in a small town. Then they MUST be doing it in CBD. Oh btw its spelt Somerset

Wasnt Neotel meant to be live nation-wide like last year already?
When you see them again, tell them to move it already and get themselves to Gordons Bay asap!
