I hear you but the dvd's aren't used at all. I burn it and store it. It's better than filling a Terabyte drive and then the next moment BOOM...

Seems to happen alot with hard drives these days... seems we are back in the Western Digital days :-)

Plus if I lose a hard drive then it's 1 Tera gone... If I lose a couple of dvd's then it's 40GB's gone... see where im going with this?

Now be honest..... porn is the only way you could possibly find 275Gbs per month to download! I download about three decent main stream movies worth downloading per month and am still left with 18Gb to use in a month so I know.... :)

Aha, you are a series downloader..... that has never appealed to me. Not sure why you would want a permanent copy of most series. Watching once is enough for me and I really have no need to see it before everyone else does. Pretty much defeats the point as you are then stuck with nothing to watch when it does come on TV and you have no one to talk to about it!

Oh yes please HD all the way.

Plus I can't do the one episode a week thing and the ad's kill me. Hence getting a full episode without any ad's and also a full season to destroy in a week. LOVE IT!

Oh and most good series don't even hit our shores so it's good to be able to watch things that dstv can't afford until it's in the third season.

Well yes you are right... my friends, and I, do have lives outside of watching television series, so one episode a week is usually more than enough thank you. And added to that our memories have the capacity of remembering what happened from one week to the next... in fact we even manage to keep up with the story line during those 10 minute ad breaks that appear to interfere with you ability to remember what happened before them...

EDIT : If you go out and meet real people you are in for a treat... real life outside is even better than HD on a 50" LCD!

GB downloaded = about 120 Gigs
Connection Speed = 4 Mb ADSL
Service Provider = M-Web and Web Africa
Capped/Uncapped = Capped (with free local from M-Web)
Cost per month = R499 for the Web Africa (dad pays the M-Web, I think R299.00)

...and none of that is porn. I could easily triple that if I was allowed or used multiple connections. The majority is DivX AVIs, MP3s, PDFs and ISOs.

If I add together all the hard drives in all my computers at home, then I have probably close to 5 terabytes. a lot of it is duplicated for backup purposes, and at least 1 terabyte of it is the kids games that I turned into VirtualCDs so that they don't have to handle the physical media. Next to the TV is the MviX player which has a 500Gb drive. that holds what we are currently watching at the moment. I would say that I watched / listened to probably 90% of all of it.

My ISP loves/hates me though. In the last two years that I have been with them I have given them around 45 new contracts... majority of them were the high end package so my ISP can't be that pissed at me surely.

They did try a stunt late last year by limiting my access to rapidshare...caught on quick and said if I see anything like that again im taking my business elsewhere....me and all my friends. Never had a problem since then again ;-)

Use to pay R950 for a 512kb line but they bumped me up for free two months ago so im stoked. My downloads went from just over 100GB's to well over 200GB...

It also helps when you "supply" to the tech staff LOL

If so threaten them with a lawsuit. They advertise uncapped unshaped, therefore if they breach the contract agreement you can sue them.

I did and within 30 mins my line was "pumping" the "porn" again :-)
