Background

So, as some of you might no, I bought a blackberry at the beginning of this year - and I hated it. Having been linked up to MS Exchange, push email is not new to me, and I couldn't stand the RIM device.

Work only offers email on mobile phones via blackberry (we run Lotus Notes).

My current phone is a Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone. I've managed to download the Blackberry Connect Software.

The question:

I know how to make BIS work, phone 155 - they set it up. The question is what do I need to make BES work? Does Vodacom need to enable something? Or do I just need the server address from teh IT guys here?

As the IT guys only techinacally support blackberry phones, I want to be armed with all the facts before I ask them for help.

You(or your Company) need to have a BES server setup, in other words... the physical hardware and software. That's AFAIK.

Well, AFAIK, you need to have the BES Value Added Service activated on the account in question. Then whoever administers your company's BES Server, needs to create an account for you on the server.
