Netgear DG834 and DynDns.org

After upgrading the firmware to 1.03.00, the Dynamic DNS with dyndns.org seemed to work to start with.
i.e. When dynamic IP changed it was updated at dyndns.org.
However, after about and hour, the dyndns.org was set to the following IP: 198.54.202.2 (ctb-cache1-vif1.saix.net).

Updating the IP address at dyndns.org manually resolved the IP address of the router, but still after a period of time is was reset to 198.54.202.2.

Is telkom doing something here with a proxy server listening to the dynamic DNS protocol? Or does anyone think it's a problem with the Netgear DG834 firmware. I will be sending an email to both Netgear and dyndns.org relating to this, but would like to know if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

Sounds like a bug in the DG834 firmware. I just checked my mail at the office and it's working as advertised with the DG814 there.

Problem solved I think. Another PC on my network was running another updating application for dyndns.org.

I've stopped that now and since yesterday afternoon I have not had a problem with the dynamic IP.
