Hi all, please to meet you,

Please help me with this: My modem work’s good connected directly to my laptop, but when I connect this modem to my hub I can’t get traffic to the PC’s.

1. Before one week all was working good
2. All configurations and connections in PC’s and modem it’s OK
4. Leds from Ethernet and WAN still solid green when I connect modem to hub
5. This is not the first time, I see this problem whit others modems and hubs, I fix this problem configuring and resetting the modem with the same parameters.

Is there some problem with mac address, arp table or something in the modem after some time of working good?

If someone can help me whit this kind of troubleshooting I’ll be grateful

Do you have an Ethernet router? Which brand and model? Explain your current setup a bit more...

Cheers

Thank you for responding,

The modem is an Turbocomm EA-710, is working on router mode, IP over ATM r1483, always is working good but for some reaseon after some time; weeks or months stop of working trough the hub, when i connect direct to another PC outside the network then still working, the hub and the connections is good, i see the same problem whit another brand, is like the modem are denied acces to the ports (mac and IP adress)of the hub.

I had a problem the other day with my netgear DG834 on the network with another hub. I thought after a few days that I had a virus which stopped network traffic to other pc's on my local lan.

I put my other pc's on the adsl/router (dg834) and problems seemed to be solved.

I think there's some imcompatibility with adsl/routers and some 10/(100?) hubs.
