Musica sues pirate product supplier

Well this is going to be interesting......

I would love to hear Dolphin's side of the story

musica is going on a belated face-saving excursion. i hope this doesnt result in more egg to their face as more is revealed in the court case...:D:D

Oh cmon! They seriously should stop pretending and take the blame.
I say if they were supplied with fake goods from these guys then they should sue them all the way. Take responsibility for buying it yes, but sue the suppliers as well!

Who HONESTLY believes that Ster Kinekor never once approached Musica and asked what was up?

I so knew this was going to happen...

I could see the Clicks / Musica boss going, if we have to kark, YOU are going to kark with us!!!!!!!! :) hahaha.

unless, of course, if u knew that your suppliers werent so *hot*. if your supplier then says "but i told you so at the beginning," or we find out that the supplier is owned by your game buyer's uncle-in-law, then errr...

i hope it takes on soap-opera proportions, and then an out-of-court "settlement" padlocked with a confidentiality agreement. good times to be a lawyer i say...

The head of New Clicks was on the radio last night. Apparently, the initial batches from the supplier were legit and later the supplier started giving them counterfeit items. The counterfeit items were so good, they had to be sent to the UK to be correctly identified.

The whole story does sound a bit rough on Musica. The instant they heard rumours of the counterfeit stuff, they pulled it from the shelves.

Surely one should do continuous checks on ones suppliers. Unless Abe's assertion that the counterfeit stuff was of top grade quality is true, then I feel little pity for Musica.

But anyone who does business with PS2/3 products would know that SK are the sole distributors and should always question the legitimacy of any other sources. Not that we want one supplier but it's common sense - even I knew that.

Brad is your not an issue about grey goods? These goods are being branded as cpounterfeit which would suggest to me they were never made by anyone related to Sony.

Beginning to sound like America. I wonder if the end user can sue Musica - I'm psycologically (sp?) scarred.

Who are Dolphin going to end up sueing?

The SA legal system is not as generous as the US when it comes to damages. ;)

Dolphin is the name of the company, and they are in Durban ................... hmmmm.... sounds like some "creative" naming. If they were in Gauteng would they be called "Hijack" ?
