At the end of February I was presented with an invoice for nearly R3000 for data used in December 2007 when my system was completely switched off. I have a router, a sim card holder modem and a pc. All this was completely switched off, unplugged and I was out of the province at the time. Despite many many phone calls to Vodacom, offering any legal documentation they require to assist them, they have not attempted to assist me in any way and now want to hand me over as a bad debt. They say there is some privacy law which prohibits them from giving ME the details as to what was downloaded at that time, despite the fact they say they had invoicing problems at that time, they assure me their invoices are correct. My son downloaded the activity reports for that time, and within half an hour got two different reports. I never get to speak to the same person twice, have spoken with every call centre in South Africa and now the only person who is in contact with me is their legal department. I have since gone onto a new sim card (MTN), use my phone as a modem and buy 350 Megs every month, which I CANNOT use in one month. My invoice from Vodacom for two years has consistently been over the 500 Meg mark. I have a fairly consistent record of use over a 20 month period and my work uses the same amount of data every month. Where do I go from here?

Do you, or did you at the time, have either TwinSIM or DataSIM added as a Value Added Service?

PS: welcome to MyBroadband :).

Use the Private Message function of the forum and send me a PM with all your details and a full description of the problem. Look here for what details to include: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showpost.php?p=544183&postcount=1

As I have no idea what a TwinSim is or a Data SIM, I don't think so.
