mmmm...I read the article posted in the News section regarding DataPro's new uncapped ADSL,
Anybody care to comment on the viability of such a product?[?]

It's not a bad idea, but it doesn't seem to address the issue of port shaping. I just skimmed through the offer on datapro's website though, so I may have missed something.
I did find the following under features:
- Telkom port shaping in ADSL Cloud
Dunno what that means though.
I also found this in the Terms and Conditions:
A compulsory monthly support fee of R250 applies to all ADSL solutions.
Why not include this in the price breakdown grid?

I wonder what sort of support costs almost R10 a day.

Silly fellow - the R10/day is Telkom's backhander, to make sure the infrastructure continues working for them...[:p]
Ahh, like a agterskot. Buggers.

I see the new datapro article on the news page fails to mention this compulsory monthly support fee. [?]
Ja well - exposing under-the-table payments can prove to be embarrassing...

Well, at least this shows that the big behemoth can be swayed.
Not neccessarily in terms of pricing, but the package does offer a helluva lot of value for a small business. Much better than a leased line can.

True. I've just come to hate hidden charges. It's a trust thing. [:)]
