Hi guys

Are you also experiencing very slow speeds using ADSL this morning? My local ADSL speed test usually gives me around 450+ kbps, but now I only get 91.90kbps...

When I connected at 6.30am this morning things were deadly slow. When I checked my IP address it turned out that I was still capped. (!?!) I've just done a speed test and I get 373kbps at 10am. So things seem to be ok here.

Mad slow over here, not capped either, in some circumstances international browsing is faster than local... wierd.

"It would appear according to the SAIX peering graph the link has been maxing for a while (during daytime) now. This is due to Saix infrastructure issues in Rosebank. They are unable to deliver enough bandwidth for us to upgrade our link to them. This is being looked at by Saix as they need to provide more bandwidth into that node.

Thanks

Don't forget that Telkom allocates bandwidth on the assumption that 20% of users are capped. This will not hold true for the first week of the month. Let's ask them to up the bandwidth, oh silly me, I forgot that this is a best effort service. [:(]

Cheers
Chris
