Could ‘Crowd-Sourcing’ be the next big thing?

I absolutely love this idea and desperately want to get involved in it locally. We could really begin to take advantage of "collective minds" in so many diverse and beneficial ways.

I hate the name crowd-sourcing though as crowd has such a negative connotation. Who likes a crowd? And if one's immediate reaction to an idea or concept is negative, then it becomes a much harder sell. I would prefer something like "Concept Clusters" or something along those lines.

I like. Nice blog Antowan...

I believe that forumites have been using this concept for a long time now. Many wont make an important purchase without first checking the opinions of fellow forumites. Just think if a company could tap into this goldmine and have a specified group of people indirectly working on their behalf whilst feeding back regarding important company decisions and their potential impact from a client/consumer perspective.

By taking this into the digital realm as well, lowers the often prohibitive cost for a company to actively do this in the past.
