News section

Hi folks

You will notice that I am trying to publish a combination of old and new articles in the news section. This serves a dual purpose: the build up a comprehensive database of broadband related information in South Africa and for us to stay informed about broadband related issues. If you have any suggestions regarding the news section or site as a whole please let me know. I am busy improving the site and any input will be of great value. I also had a look at the statistics and noticed that the average amount of hits per day for the MyADSL news section increased from 2268 for February to 3672 in March (so far). Unfortunately I do not have any statistics regarding the forum (the specific hosting package does not have traffic stats), but one can assume that it is much higher than the news section.

One suggestion comes to mind. Why not link a news story directly to a pre-created topic on the discussion board, so that people can comment on/discuss that specific news topic?

Seriously though that is a lot of hits. I wonder if they are mostly local?

You will notice that this is now the case. It does mean a bit more work for me in the early morning but I am certain it will create a place for some constructive discussions. Good idea!

Are these unique hits or just page hits? Not to sound like a spoil sport, but karnaugh.za.net got 5966 hits over Feb, but only 161 unique visits. 3672 is still good though seeing as thats probably mostly local users :)
