Hey guys

I'm sure this has been posted before, but where, in Cape Town, is the best place to get official football shirts?

I had a look at Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday and I see the new Arsenal, Man U & Chelsea shirts. They were about R600. The same shirt from the Arsenal.com website is £40 which when converted to rands is about R600. So it seems pretty expensive.

I'm thinking I must give Cross Trainer & Lillywhites @ the V&A a try. They'll be expensive though I'm sure.

Any other places?

Thanks. :)

Places you should goto would be Nike concept store in Canal Walk or Waterfront. Total Sports sells them as well. They go for around R600.

Who is the guy on here who was opening a soccer merchandise shop in CT? He may be able to help... damn can't remember the username!

Total sports. New Liverpool Shirt only R499. Could almost not believe it. Getting one asap.

Wow... Nice, but what about names and numbers on the back? R600 is pretty reasonable.

geek you buying the new home or away kit? the away kit is beautiful!

Il get fern9do put on the back.think it costs R100 last time i checked. At namso

Ohya theres an online shop but they didnt have stock last time i orderd(2 months ago)
Google for prosoccer...thats how i found them. They are(Apparantly) based in cape town and shirts were going for R450. But like i said when i orderd they didnt have stock!

sounds like they sell fakes :)
or since it was 2 months ago - last seasons kit on clearance sale

Thanks for the replies guys. nivek, I'd love both. :D

I haven't seen the away shirt in stores here, yet. It is really nice. Kitbag has the names and numbers on the back. £44.20 for a Fabregas shirt. £51.15 including delivery (standard). I wonder how reliable it is getting that shipped here? I assume pricing is the same for the others. :)

No ways. I saw them playing the other night vs Stuttgart for the first time this season. It looks awesome!

Okay, i saw a picture of adebayor wearing it. Maybe explains it:)
It just didnt look nice at all.
The thing with importing the kit is...wont you stil have to pay import tax and duties?

i want Adebayors name on it, with a $ instead of a number

LOL @ Adebayor. :D

Yeah, I'd be worried about import duties too. :(

Haha.nice.god i hate that ugly bastard.
But i read he signed a new 70K-a-week deal till 2013. Wenger is crazy to keek him. If one of our players acted like that Rafa would tell him to piss oe.

Remember to add 40% duties then add 14% vat onto that price. It works out to be pretty expensive after that. Best way to get it is if u know someone in the UK that is coming back home or there on holiday to buy you one.

There is no store in South Africa that prints official names on the shirt. One would need to order from the UK to get one.

The problem isnt ordering from online. The problem is the duties SA customs hit you with. Almost 60%.
