Schoeman, our only medal hope in the pool ?

Hi,

Do you think Schoeman is our only hope in the pool at Beijing ?

He qualified at the '13th heat' by winning that race, however 5th highest overall at the heats.

Does he have enough to pull it off at the 50m Freestyle Final ?

Well our 400m hurdles prospects arent looking too bad at least
 
This morning the kfm sports presenter actually announced schoeman got SA's first medal... a bronze!
 
lol... im not even sure that Roland's contract with swim SA allows him to wear speedo. He's only allowed to wear Arena, but he ignored it anyway. thus he is k@ka

But i doubt he will do anything amazing, maybe a brinze if he's lucky... He has a huge lead with his fast start and underwater, but he just isnt fast enough!

But 7th spot still means we have no medal...
 
True, but we never had a realistic chance of a medal in the 50Free. Even with the current world rec holder Sullivan having a shocker in 6th place, he was still .02 better than Roland.
