I was at incredible corruption today and saw a 25.5" monitor today with a R20K pc, i fiddled with it for a bit and it was the most AMAZING thing ever. I have to change from this 17" CRT. Would you guys rather buy a lcd tv or a 25.5" monitor.

I would take an LCD monitor over a TV most days, since the majority of LCD tv's are only running 720p. My 24" BenQ is running at more than full HD 1080p. The 5ms response time isn't the fastest around, but I can't see motion lag in any game I've played. Also, the pixel pitch is nice and small, so anything on screen is generally clear and clean. Soem LCD tv's I've seen are very smeared.
The 25.5 inch (odd size!) should be running at 1920x1200. The next step up I've only seen on 30" ince monitors. Rather get a 24", that extra 1.5 inches won't do much for you. It's also a strain on your neck, depending how far away you sit from the screen.

I am really considering getting the Samsung T260 for PC gaming, however I am having concerns over whether the monitor is too big. What is the ideal viewing distance for a 26" and also 24". Can anyone who uses monitors of these sizes post their veiwing distance.
I haven't been able to find the T260HD version locally (which has extra features, mainly 1:1 pixel mapping) in the event that I might get an XBox360 or PS3.

i used to have a 22" ASUS now i have a Sinotech 42" lcd tv, instead, i love it... its great...

If you buy a USB or portable PVR TV tuner then your monitor will become a TV anyway, I would go for the monitor.
