I dont think there is a hidden one, is there? You just need to change it to bridge mode.

On My Netgear The Link Was Hidden (Not Displayed In The Web Interface)
Does that mean Billion also hides it?
Maybe if you could explain what you see the difference is between it being in modem mode as opposed to bridged.
i need the device to be modem only because i just bought a router for R2000 and now i find out i need to connect a adsl modem to it for the adsl to work , i dont see why they make such crap
Why not just leave the billion as is and connect your router to it? I'm sure the Billion can allocate IP addresses as well as your router - the router will still do its job.
Otherwise just turn off DHCP on the Billion. If you want the router to handle the pppoe connection then put the billion into bridge mode.
i have to connect the billion to the draytek(sorted that out today) and connect another for my 2nd line so whats the cheapest adsl modem or router i can get?

Modem = dumb device and needs an intelligent something behind it to make it useful.
Router = intelligent something, does stuff like pppoe sessions, ip routing, dhcp etc
This is how it's designed.
However.................
For the moms and pops market (i.e. home users and businesses who are too cheap to buy a proper product), there are devices that combine these features.
Netgear confuses everyone by calling them modem routers. So it's a router with the intelligence internally but with a modem built in.
Remember a router can connect to ANY wan device, dsl modem, diginet ntu, ibust modem, analogue dialup modem, isdn modem, wimax ntu etc.
The cheapest modem/router that I know of (that's reasonably stable) is the Billion 5200S which is about R350 (1 x ethernet, 1 x RG11). It can be changed to bridge modem very easily through the menus. There are proper Billion modems but I don't know if they are imported.

the draytek device i got does not need a router it can connect via a normal adsl modem connected to it
If you bought the 2910 that you had you eye on, then it IS the router. Just as I explained.

Bridge mode on 800VGT
This how you put the 800VGT in bridge mode:
Open up your Web browser and type in 10.0.0.2, both username and password is "admin" and "admin". Once you are in the router's interface click on Quick start and go to the Encapsulation drop the arrow and choose "1483 Bridged IP LLC". Click on apply and Save config to flash
