Hi All,

I know this has been asked before but as i wanna know current status - does anyone know which ISP or total package like DoBroadband from telkom is the best value for money?

I'm looking at the 4GB package. Is it better to wait till prices drop further?

Any advice would be appreciated.

thanx

In Russia there is a deal for a 16mb down, 5mb up, 0 cap line that come with a wife.

Sounds like it could be the best deal right now to me.

well don't wait for the prices to drop further ..... that's a looooooong time to sit without ADSL ;):D

The Nashua Mobile 1GB ADSL offer at R139 per month which includes a free Billion locked wireless router is the cheapest offer at the moment. You could purchase a 2GB Telkom All Access bandwidth topup for R150 which should give you an extra ~4GB of international plus 20GB of local. If you don't want to be tied into a 12 month contract you could look at the Telkom Do Level 2 broadband offer or one of the Cybersmart ADSL products. CS has a Night Rider option which offers a 500% increase in cap size for downloads at off-peak times. See www.cybersmart.co.za for more details.

If the free router is locked, can you use Telkom All Access topup? How do you change the settings on the router?

I have ADSL 4MB = R413 + 5Gig OpenWeb R239 + 30 gig local IS (OpenWeb) R130
