Openweb is currently offering a 512K 30g account for R749 -
Couple of ?'s:p

1. Is this a VPN account (as it is advertised under adsl VPN, but the 384k account states 10g VPN and the 512K states only 30g)
2. if it is a VPN account, could you still purchase it if you have wimax - sorry but the call center guy confused me. He wanted to know if the router supports adsl and if there is an ethernet cable (i'm a newbie here:confused:)

1. I don't think the account speed can influence the WiMax speed, as I have used a 384 account on my WiMax and got 512 speeds. Yes, it is a VPN account.
2. I will work. How this account works, is that you connect with a local account, and if I am right, you use a program from OpenWEB to connect to their VPN and they route it to international sites.

:D

Thanks, bud
So will openweb give you the program once you sign up?

Think so. I don't know how they do it... Maybe they use certificates, cause what is stopping you from give it to someone else... :?

Nothing, but no one else will be allowed to connect to their VPN servers I'm sure. They give you the local account so they probably keep track of it.

sounds too good to be true. i wonder how it performs ,latency for online gaming and such.
