Judiciary not above criticism - Zuma

Although the judiciary is accepted as the final arbiter of dispute, it is not above criticism, ANC president Jacob Zuma said on Tuesday.

Perhaps. But these are long time serving judges with hundreds of years of legal experience and education between them. You Jacob Zuma do not even have a Standard 8.

I think this is a case of "he who is without sin, cast the first stone". Of which JZ is hardly innocent.

Discussion facilitator, University of Johannesburg deputy vice chancellor Adam Habib said a question on what the ANC was doing to prevent possible violence related to his court cases, was not related to the debate and so Zuma did not have to answer it.

Or course a real leader would have addressed a particularly concerning issue such as this. Unfortunately this puts a black spot on his already tarnished reputation. In fact, has he ever commented on the violence perpetrated by his followers? Or is violence and intimidation another tactic for his "regime"?

He said the proverb "justice delayed is justice denied" also applies.

The judiciary is a pillar of a stable society and "to destabilise it would mean we are cutting our noses to spite our face".
