Working on information as an Agent I have been told that the Cape Town towers are now being switched on and are number one in the roll out list, next are the Pretoria towers, which is the one you mentioned and the others in PTA which will give coverage to Moreletta and Faerie Glen areas, Lyttleton, Centurion......
The information that I have says that the towers will be online by the middle to end of this month, I do not know exact dates and have not been told which ones first and which ones last but that is what I heard last which was at a meeting on friday.
if you are 10Km for the tower you prob. will need a high gain antenna which is the dish (prob. at that distance you will need one 8 out of 10 if not definately) but stranger things have happened with the singal just bouncing off places and people way out of the footprint getting great singal that is if you arent in a shadow depending on how the tower is placed.
Get someone out to test when the towers are online and see what gives and they will give you your options on what you can do to connect to the Sentech network and what the costs involved will be to your options, remember there is always more than one option to any solution and dont always take the first option which is always the more expensive one d;-)
