For sorting out internal disputes like Georgia who in turn have US support.:p
I would not be surprised if the Yanks have been feeding Georgia with money and weapons and the Russians are just matching the move. Like Chess in a way.

Russia of late is making several moves that would signal a renewed look at it's world exposure. Recently 2 Bombers were sent to Venezuela I think as a show of force and support for Chavez who has been seen shaking hands all over the Kremlin.
I have read and heard that other than Iraq and Afghanistan the US was keen to make moves to possibly oust Chavez who is Nationalising it's Oil Industry and secure the Caspian Sea pipelines or routes that they were going to take.

The USA are starting to irritate me, they are a very powerful country and in turn have become extremely arrogant, just like the ANC and it's about time Russia show them they won't get pushed over by these American power hungry, money worshiping country.
 
All of this can only lead to trouble.

I'm glad you guys are happy about it, personally, they should give SA money so we can upgrade our broadband so we can beat all their asses in online games like Call of Duty 4 and Battlefield 2 ;)

No seriously though it will give those arrogant Yanks a lil bit to think about. And! But wait! It will also be good for job creation.. In Russia! Just like America use their lil wars to create wealth and jobs in their country. The Russians just caught on a bit late. ;)

That is what I was thinking. Since Gorbachev and Perestroika Russia's economy has been taking on a whole new "Capitalistic" approach to things.

America might have at this moment in time the most formidable Military Force at it's disposal the world has ever seen, but they are now at their weakest.

Election are at hand and the Sub Prime Chaos has hit home at Wall Street with a vengeance. Any politician even suggesting further military action around the world is likely to get his head chewed off by the American Public.

So like a Pack of Wolves where the leader is weak the younger wolves are starting to take bites from the leaders ankles.

Will the leader of the pack come out fighting. Part II, after the elections.

I agree, the US will not be able to finance their foreign military interests or any of their actual military. If Russia or China has any plans, the time is now.
