On the modem itself, the signal strength is between 0 - 1 bar.

On the Wireless Broadband Status Monitor, it displays as follow:

Signal : 0%, Frequency : 0 KHz, Basestation : 0

Available Networks: 00000 [ONLY!!!]
I'm in Illiondale and I beilieve that the modem is trying to connect to the tower in Hurleyvale (approx 3.5 KM away)

In fact I can get connected and can use internet.
But the speed is spiky and not constant as noticed in Flashget transger graph.

Any suggestions to improve this situation by any setting??

How do you guys finds the signal strength and towers?
With the information on the status monitor, I don't have any information on actual signal strength and tower number (or name).

simple... you need to disconnect first to see any info in the signal strength meter

hey, i must note that if u have below about 5% signal then your d/loads will be spiky and sites will load slow... i moved my antenna last weekend and now i have 9% and everything is kewl, downloads are about 15K/sec on average... and thats on a 128K package... so try get the best possible signal for the best consistency, preferrably above 5% is kewl... che guys...
