This thread could have been posted under the following three section: Gaming, Linux or Hardware. I decided on Hardware and Software. If a admin want to move, feel free to do so.
Pandora the hand held device I wish I can own! As from the wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandora_(console)):
The Pandora is a handheld game console, that is available for pre-order September 30, 2008 and will begin shipping around November 30, 2008. Designers have stated that it is a more powerful than any existing handheld video game console.
I just show on slashdot (http://hardware.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/10/01/0142211) you can pre-order it for 199 GBP. I know it is a bit pricey but just look at that specifications (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandora_(console)#Specifications).
I'm not a gamer but maybe on this device I will finish Final Fantasy III. Also with a QWERTY keyboard you can do some other neat stuff on it and if you are a programmer/hacker I'm sure you will be able to customize the device for your own need, it does run a Linux based OS after all. Who needs a netbook and to think this device will fit in your pocket!
I really just wish I can get my hands on it for a reasonable price, does anybody know what I'm going to pay for shipping and import tax?
Regards,
