Anyone got ddr ram cards just lying around for free:Di have a mother board here and a case and want to build my 3 year old son a really cheap a$$ computer with linux.I hope linux will be the right choice for him as he loves windows media player 11.
SSHould i just build him a dual boot system then.
I am in cape town and will collect in the cbd area in the week,Weekends i will be in hermanus for the next 6 weeks.

SO anyone you has and feel like donating please do remember i am in cape town.
 
I think i have some ddr lying around and both my bro and my dad are flying back to the Cape tomorrow (me sucker i live up here and take care of the main house )
 
yeh, I might be able to help out... Give me till the weekend and send me a pm, I've got tons of stuff boxed, and I think a few sticks of 128MB's but I need to check what type of RAM they are. And eventually I'm just going to throw em out, so if they can be put to use instead = GREAT.

I recently chucked out a few cases (kept the cpu's - just in case!), cos I was seriously running outta space - placed a few ads but nobody in CT seemed to want it. What a waste. I did keep and box the important bits tho.
 
Your RAM is packaged (got paid today) so will head off to the PO 2mrw am. 2 x 256Mb and 2 x 512Mb
