Imaginet - ADSL price increase

I got a email this morning, from my ISP Imaginet. Telling me they are increasing the price to R299.00 per month.


"....The cost of our ADSL accounts was raised by Telkom in January this year, and since then, we have been subsidizing the service we provide to you...

The new price of R299 includes VAT. This new price will come into effect as of the 1st of July 2004."


Has anybody been aware that Telkom has increased the pricing of ADSL to suppliers? I thought things was getting cheaper?

This sounds like rubbish.

If I were you I'd get a stock TelkomInternet "ProLog" account and pay R250 per month instead.

Telkom did increase the price of an adsl account by R30 per month as from 1 February 2004

Yip, And As I understood from my secondary ISP, Telkom never informed the resellers. Only when I approach my ISP (Know him personally), he equired with Telkom about it. They confirmed. [:(!]
 
All that talk about adsl finally getting cheaper and now I get an email about a heavy price increase.

So the router is now free - telkom made quite sure everybody saw that, but price increases in other areas get sneaked in like this. great
