Post Office faces R1.3bn damages claim

Post Office spokesman Lungile Lose on Friday confirmed both applications had been dismissed last week.

“We have received the written judgment and we are studying it,” he said.

Lose added that the Post Office would decide on the next step once it has consulted its lawyers.

What a bunch of inept fools. Contract law has no meaning to them... only corruption. A new ceo comes in and wants to give the contract to her cronies so she can get the kickbacks, so she just cancels an existing contract without any idea of the consequences.

Welcome to the real world of business. She should be held personally liable.

That's pretty much the only way they are going to recover the money if forced to pay. It is not like they have any really competition.

The reason that Amazon (US) stopped using SAPO is because SAPO workers selected presents from the christmas tree (or rather duffel bags from Amazon) for their kiddies back home :D
 
serves them right. also sorts out this thinking that u can simply cancel contracts & get away with it. only problem is that the lawyers r coining it at every turn!:mad:
