The web will destroy commercial FM radio

The only time I listen to radio is when travelling in the car, where web radio is not really available at the moment.
 
Its possible but its VERY VERY expensive, 2MB streaming per song, crazy.
Antowan could be right though, maybe by 2030 we wont have FM radio, but radio and the "masses" are relative. They safe for another 20 years or so.
 
Thanks to Telkom/the DoC, Radio will still have a long and fruitful life in this country. Personally I don't see it going away in the next 20 years (factor in Telkom and it goes up to 120 years)
 
If listening to the FM radio became enjoyable again, then wham ... i'd listen to it.
But ... simply put, the massive amount of advertising ruins it completely for me, never mind the actual content.

I love the pokes at ICASA and it's role in limiting the content available on FM, AWESOME!

Hopefully, the 2c a MB "local - only - bandwidth" will become available on GPRS/3G/HSDPA soon. (Nudge nudge @ Voda)
