Clearly, Ray Webber is a man of profound insight. What he has written here is hauntingly true and raises legitimate questions relating the conduct of the DoC bosses. Great work.

While we would prefer it if our country's elected representatives would embrace industry liberalisation rather than continue to attempt to stifle it, one thing is for sure - the South African telecommunications space is far from boring.

Living in the UK on and off for a couple of years, I must agree the ordinary IT guys in SA are much more actively involved in ICT sector through forums like this than that side. I suppose it because they have it so much easier than us, as we have to fight for everything. Lets hope this court ruling paves the way forward!!
 
It is certainly a great article my Mr. Webber. Nice to see high profile guys in telecoms speaking their mind on matters like this - taking on the Minister and the DG in a single article :D
 
There is no doubt that her insistence in this matter has seriously damaged her credibility within the industry
