guitar hero - world tour : have you got it yet

as title suggests, has anyone bought it already?

i played a bit at rage, and wanted to buy it, but seeing as the price rocketted to 2,8k, i think i'll have to wait a while. come on xmas bonus, come on, come on.

if you've bought please post your views
 
thx, i read the opinions of the guys on ps3, and it seems like this would really be a worthy (allbeit very expensive) buy...

...now lets go see on the xbox forums what they say there, as i'm buying it for my xbox

ps: but after that all my family members will be getting gift cards to the r5 store :D

But yeah.. Its an awesome game and a lot of fun to play with friends (or family).
 
Yeah, I have it. Had a huge GH4 party on Friday night with the full 4 piece band. Worth the R3k IMO.
 
I sooo want this game, but there's no way i'm paying 3k for it. Apparently the price will decrease early next year, i'm hoping. Then i'll import Rock Band 2 stand-alone game since that will prob never see the light of day in SA.
 
Cant i just buy the game with only the guitar? Played the drums at rage, wasnt so touching as the guitar and im not planning on having GH4 parties
 
I don't know whether to get this or Rock Band 2. I have Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band 1, which is not much of a comparison, but gameplay wise (guitars only), I much prefer Rock Band.

Would be sad to spend ~R3k on the wrong thing.

You can play on any difficulty you like. I'm thinking possibly the weekend of 6 Dec.

lol, i play on medium thesedays on gh3, but i am yet to score 100%, any song on med - so playing on easy just helps my ego :cool:

6/12 sounds do-able, i'll need to confirm though...but i like the idea of a guitar hero party...

....i'll look for a wig and some leatherpants, and be a 80s rockstar

Erm, am I correct that alisiaoh is yer g/f? Thought I recalled her making some comment about her kicking yer ass in GH :p

The guitars are pretty much on par, but GH's drum set got much better reviews than Rock Band's set. Do what i'm gonna do, get GH World Tour and just import the stand alone Rock Band 2 game, since the instruments are compatible with both.

also saw some or other sing-a-long xbox game advertised at IC, but looking at the small ad, its probably gonna be crappy po(o)ppy songs - but i'll go look this w'end

Yup, 100% sure - it's a patch that you'll have to DL. I'm talking specifically about the PS3 version though, and with it being region free, i'll just import Rock Band 2 from Tronix. :D
 
World Tour is awesome, huge array of songs to play and very entertaining.

If you have played and liked singstar and guitar hero 3 before, then you'll definately enjoy this.

The new guitar is pretty nifty, the drums taken me a few tries to get a hang of.
