Sorry for posting in this section but I didn't know where else to post it.
I just received another phone call from a so called "Telkom" representative saying that they owe me R2525.89 and could I please furnish him with my company banking details. Knowing very well that Telkom does not give refunds I inquired why they didn't just credit my account, after which he promptly hung up the phone.
I tried reporting this to Telkom's fraud line (0860 124 000) but gave up after holding on the phone for 23 minutes! Unfortunately the number came up as "Unknown" so I'm not sure anything could be done about it anyway.
Please folks, make sure your employees know not to give out any banking details to someone claiming to be a Telkom employee!
