This season is so badly done, and has so many filler episodes that this will go down for me as the worst season of Stargate I have ever watched.

Its their first filler season.

Does anyone know why the directing is so bad? Why the storyline is so weak and shattered? And why there seems to be no imagination or direction from the shows writers?

I am really disappointed in this season.
 
I'm going to have to agree with you here, NONE of the episodes were good, they were okay in a way where they were just continuing the story but nothing exciting etc.

Maybe it's coming to an end.
 
Probably because they know it's getting sh*t-canned and couldn't be bothered with giving it their all.

If you know your company's going bankrupt and will be liquidated in a few weeks, will you give it your all?

Ja, same thing happened in SG1 Season 10. The writing suddenly went pathetic. It is confirmed this is the last season.

Good news is they are moving to Movie Format just like SG1... so expect a few good Atlantis movies in the next year or two! :D

I must admit... as much as I loved Stargate... the writing was starting to go downhill. The last season of Stargate SG-1... and this last season of Atlantis have been the most boring of the lot.

The movies were great though.
 
Stargate Universe is an upcoming science fiction television series, part of the Stargate franchise. The series was green lit on August 22, 2008 and is scheduled to debut as a two- or three-hour movie and then begin regular weekly airings on SCI FI in summer 2009.

I'm a huge fan of stargate, especially atlantis. But I only watched up to season 2 of atlantis. Just can't find the time in a 18hour workday to squeeze a couple of episodes in. Perhaps next year when this rush is over. Stargate universe? When is that coming out?
