i got hold of a card/modem, i was in the MIDDLE of a dark green patch, bang, 0% signal.. woohooo!

Insaniac, what area are you in?

"Dark green". Are you referring to rollout coverage, or pilot coverage?

im in woodmead, 3 seconds from rivonia, and 10 seconds from sunninghill right in the middle of a dark green area on the coverage page on iburst.co.za

i got like 100% signal then 20% then 0% signal, but it generally stayed at 0% and would jump to 100% every 30 mins, but then lose the signal straight away...

There is excellent coverage in Woodmead from the Megawatt park tower. I have tested with great signal in most areas in Woodmead. I suspect, there was maintenance done whilst you experienced 0% signal.

I know WBS puts extensive effort in generating their coverage maps, taking physical obstacles in surrounding areas into account. They also build in a factor to remain conservative in the coverage reflected in the maps.

i live down 12th avenue, little bit of a dip, could that be a problem? im like 500 metres away from megawatt as the bird flies, so i dont undertstand? it did jump to 100% several times, but it wouldnt even keep it there for a millsecond, it would go straight back to 0%..

Insaniac, WBS said there was a power failure at Megawatt Park tower and it was offline for some time over the weekend. It is currently operational again.
