Does anyone know if WebAfrica has agreements with any of the WiFi hotspot providers? Someone mentioned to me that it was possible to use WebAfrica ADSL credentials at hotspots but I have been unable to find anything about it on their website.

Not that I know of... unless WebAfrica is part of MWEB? I remember something like that from awhile ago? In which case you would need to contact MWEB just to make sure of login credentials.

You can then go to http://vodacom.wirelessg.co.za and click on the hotspot locator link... you can use this to find a full list of hotspots in South Africa, and some around the world. But your credentials will only work in SA...

I just all ISP's can have a universal port so that we can access regardless of what provider you belong to. I say this cause I always encounter encryption errors, when ever I try connecting on hotspots[/COLOR]
:(

Thanks for the tip Second_One. Real pity about WebAfrica. I know Axxess sells prepaid, but it would be nice to just be able to use some of my WA cap instead :)

Just for clarification for those that are unsure Web Africa is a completely independent company to Mweb

We are not currently offering wireless Internet facilities however I would recommend checking out the website for updates ;)

Thanks for answering Johnathan, it's always great when companies get involved here.

I will keep an eye on the site-and I assume you'll include the addition of any such in the client newsletter?

We will be sure to include it in our newsletter in the near future once we decide to go ahead with offering these solutions :D
