Connecting laptop LCD to TV

Hey
Was wondering if anyone has ever tried to connect your old laptop LCD to be used as a "TV"? I have an old laptop that is not working any more, so I took the screen off and want to see if there is a way to connect this screen to a TV or even DSTV through RCA cables.

Would this be possible?
 
Eh...no...you see that lovely Printed board that comes attached to the screen by a cable? This is your LCD output board,takes specific signals direct from the mobo of the lappy. Theoretically you could jerry-rig the outputs based on old circuit diagrams,but wow,unimaginable amounts of work for it to _maybe_ be convertable
