See the news article and the ITweb story, and then go back to the 17th June when it was first announced by Sentech.
In the meantime the Autopage people have been setting their own help desk in place, and waiting for Sentech to get the system to "work".
Their pricing is basically the same, but requiring users to pay the modem and setup costs up front. It's a good way of making sure that only business users come to them.
Personally I think that Autopage has a much greater committment to customer service and actually listening to the customer than Sentech has. In fact if Sentech had any brains they would hand over all their customers to NoWire and Autopage and close their no-help desk.
I also think that Autopage should drop the 128, 256 and 512 names from their packages, and simply refer to them as bronze, silver and gold (or something similar). Their web site broadband.autopage.co.za does say the speeds are "up to 128k" but they give no indication of how far off the mark the actual user speeds are.
I really hope the Autopage technicians join this forum and listen to the exisiting customers, and learn from them.
