Is it possible to hide the reconnection dialog box when a line drops?

On Windows XP we have a dial-up VPN connection.

Whenever the connection to the VPN server drops, it is an annoyance to get the "reconnect" dialog box popping up.

We have automated the reconnecting side of things, but isn't there a way to hid the dialog box so that it will automatically reconnect in the background instead of popping up?

From Control Panel (or internet explorer), go to Internet Options, Select the Connections Tab and select "Never dial a connection".

Not sure if that will affect the reconnection, but it will stop that message from popping up.
 
Yes, just go into advanced options.
You can even hide the username and password fields - if filled in correctly for the first time - it wont appear again
Set the reconnect try to 999
Time to 1sec

right click on your connection - properties
second tab
