Recommend some good English 'sokkie' music to me

I hate Afrikaans music, especially the sokkie music. I'm not looking to pick a fight on the merits of the music - it's just personal taste. Can you recommend some good English alternatives please! Artists, bands, compilations or specific songs would be great. I'm looking for the kind of music you langarm (windsurf) or two-step on.
 
The English don't do "sokkie" music... thats just lower class...

Hey...don't forget Smokey and Creedence Clearwater Revival! Not to mention, this way you can even attract the Afrikaans crowds! :p

Wonder why you did not type your post in your sophisticated language, could it be that maybe its dying out quicker then the unsophisticated english langauge.:p

Try looking for a good redneck band called Hayseed Dixie, great Banjo type music.
