Estimated price: R310k. What happened to VW passing on the production savings to customers?

R310k is fscking ridiculous for a vehicle. and it looks like a minor upgrade to the V rather than a new version.

They may as well just call it a facelift model.

Apparently Its costing Vw much less to build these new (Facelifted) golf's so why is it costing more ? (to recoup for losses on the MK5 or what ?)

This is just a cheap Sirocco knock off cause VW designers are the laziest ever. Guess thats thanks to the Porsche owndership which also contributes to the hugely overpriced value on VWs.

Seriously, Golf = Gay
Jeez Louis if you buy a VW you have no imagination...

looks like a bod kit on the V...
if the price being bandied is not local then we screwed,
it will probably cost more here.

310k for a golf is hilarious! Even worse is those chops who buy the R32 for R440k! That's pre-owned RS4/M3 money.

+1. A friend of mine has a GTi running on around 180kW and thus I would prefer that GTi5 above the 6 GTi anyday....

Im with you on that buy a nice GTi5 and chip it, and you have a lovely 180kw.. so pathetic how they only increased the power by 7kw

Lol I got this last week.

310k is not that badly priced, I do think it will be more when it comes out:(:(:(
The price is a bit over the top, but im not sure who or what is to blame, is it that the car market is sloping or is it greedy VWSA...

I like it!:) More power would have been better obviously...

Lol the Appolis lady who wrote this is smoking her socks!!!
18" Detroits on 17" tyres lol!!!:D

Another thing.... why Detroits again VW? We know you can make a better OEM mag!!!!

Yes, when you see how often dealer releases contain errors, it's no wonder car salesman know less about the car than you do.

yeah R310k before you spec it...add the sunroof, xenons and upgraded audio...then we'll see. R330k +- easy thats second hand S3 price range....in fact there is plenty in that range.... it's too much. nice car though, wouldnt say no to one. but what about the Scirroco??? hows that going to be priced compared to the GTI? hmmm

I think thats VWSA biggest worry, the Scirrocco needs to do well, but not better than the MK6 Gti. It also has to be cheaper than the MK6 because it has the old GTi engine. Theres only a few KW difference between the two so we dont know how they will price it, the Scrirocco however will be better speced than the Gtis. So ive heard.

Ill buy a Scirocco over the Gti 6. So will most VW fans!:o

They are actually both the same. Think about the name - 6 and Scirocco - by the mid life upgrade phase they will become one and called the Sixrocco.

The price will also be adjusted (in true VW fashion) to include those of the two merged models, MK6 R310k + SCI R300k = Sixrocco @ R610k.
