So there are six slots, yellow-green-yellow-green-yellow-green

Is one meant to put the sticks one after the other, or to put them all in yellow?
 
Most likely what Messugga said is right, but you could just check the manual (from the boards website if you don't have one) to be certain. Also CPUz on the memory tab will confirm if it's in triple channel for you.
